“I have to give a ‘shout out’ to Steve & Robbie Kaplan with Pawstive K9 training
(702-467-9080). I adopted a German Shepherd from the local shelter in Pahrump
10 months ago. He was already a year old and had been picked up as a stray, so I
had no idea what his background was. I chose him because he wasn’t barking like
all the other dogs and he was friendly enough towards me although timid. After
we got home, I quickly found out that he had no training, separation issues, and a
fear of people other than me, that manifested itself by actng like he’d tear anyone
apart that came near him. My parents are in their 80’s and I couldn’t risk them
getting hurt (or worse) whenever they came over, so I had two options: Take him
back to the shelter or get help. Not one to give up easily, I called trainers Steve &
Robbie. I tried them because the problem I had was at my home and they made
house calls. Steve was honest, upfront, told me what the problem was, and
confident we could fix it even though I had serious doubts. I’ve had quite a few
dogs in the past but never one like this.
They gave me the tools I needed to not only build up my dog’s confidence but
build up mine also. Make no mistake; it took diligence on my part with lots of
repetition and patience, but I followed their advice and ‘lo and behold’ it started
paying off. I think I had a total of 4 private sessions and then several group
sessions. It was money well spent and I’m in awe of the difference in my dog. He
knows all his commands, his separation issues are gone, he is great when people
come over; and wherever we go, people are always telling me what a well-
behaved dog he is. Best of all, my parents dog sat him for me when I went on
vacation. I’m so glad I didn’t give up and I got help because “Jake” has turned out
to be the best dog I’ve ever had, and his loyalty knows no bounds.
Thanks for all your help Steve & Robbie!!!”

“Raven, the confident, radiant alpha you see in this post just turned two. But her journey to this moment has been anything but easy.
For the first years of her life, she lived in constant fear, never truly feeling safe or secure. She struggled to find her place in her home, unable to connect with the pack around her.
While she gravitated toward the lady of the house, it wasn’t out of trust, it was out of a need for protection.
Even the smallest, unexpected changes, a sudden noise, something as simple as a new hat would send her running in panic, sometimes disappearing for hours.
Her fear ran so deep that during a stay at a boarding facility, she became so overwhelmed that she slipped out of her collar and wouldn’t allow anyone near her until her owners returned. And this was a facility known for being exceptional with animals.
Her owners were heartbroken, questioning whether keeping her was truly the right thing to do. And then Raven met Steve and Robbie.
In just a matter of weeks, everything changed. Through their patience, skill, and deep understanding, they helped Raven discover something she had never known before... confidence.
Today, she carries herself with strength and assurance, embracing her role as a leader in her home and running freely, joyfully, with the big dogs at the park after training sessions.
Watching her transformation has been nothing short of incredible. From the bottom of our hearts, we are beyond grateful to Steve and Robbie.
They didn’t just train our dog, they gave Raven a new life. They gave her the confidence to thrive, to feel safe, and to truly be herself. And in doing so, they gave us the dog we expected.”

“Steven and Robbie came into my home to train my Caucasian Shepherd for the first visit. Had a rough start, but after a few minutes, we were on board with each other my fur baby walked on a leash today. It brought tears to my eyes. I have tried for 4 months. She is one stubborn pooch. Steven worked his magic with her. She did not hesitate to do what he wanted her to do. What power!!!! looking forward to our second visit. Robbie is delightful as well.”
